Obituary of Stephen B. Kenyon

Stephen Bruce Kenyon, age 68, of Tully, New York died Friday, August 3, 2018 surrounded by his wife and children at his beloved home. He is a cherished husband, father and Papa.  

Steve was born January 31, 1950 in Corning, New York to the late Edward and Marzetta Jean (Cox) Kenyon. He graduated from Corning Painted Post West High School in 1968 and enlisted in the US Navy, serving in Point Mugu, California. Steve gave his life to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 1978.  On April 16, 1982, he married the love of his life, Debi. He was employed as an Electrician for over 26 years, at G.A. Braun. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching his Yankees, NY Giants, USC Gamecocks and ACC Basketball; specifically, SU and the North Carolina Tar Heels.  Steve spent most of his time caring for his beloved home in Otisco and camp at Junius Ponds.  He also enjoyed classic and muscle cars, tinkering with cars, driving his boat or golf cart, Keuka Lake, trips to South Carolina and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Steve, along with his wife, attended LaFayette Alliance Church since 1987. 

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Deborah Bayne Kenyon affectionately known to him as Hun; along with children; Elizabeth Sanner, Justin (Jennifer) Kenyon, Amanda (Austin) Harvel, Dana Kenyon and Maria Kenyon; grandchildren, Jordan Sanner, Riley Mae Sanner, Marzetta Kenyon, Blake Kenyon, and Wyatt Harvel; sister Suzanne Kenyon; and many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws LeRoy and Marguerite (Cooper) Bayne, and grandson Cooper Kenyon.

The Family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the wonderful care, prayers and support we have received from family, friends, Upstate Doctors and Nurses, Hospice of CNY, Church family, GA Braun family, UMR, and Palmetto Richland Hospital.  

Funeral services will be held on Friday August 10, 2018 at LaFayette Alliance Church at 7:00 PM with Pastor Brian Mandingo officiating. Prior to the service family will greet friends from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
