Obituary of Rhonda Lee Baptiste

Rhonda Lee Baptiste, 50, of LaFayette, NY, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late John and Phyllis Byrne. Rhonda was an avid New York Jets and New York Yankees fan. She loved to play poker with family and friends. 

Rhonda is survived by her best friend/husband, Edward; siblings, Kelly DeSantis (Jim), Debbie O'Neil (Tom), Barb Kirshner (Frank), Kim McNamara (Steve) and John Byrne (LeiAnn); daughter, Amanda Kirshner (Matt); stepdaughters, Nicole (Gabe) and Stephanie Baptiste; eight grandchildren; several nieces, nephews. aunts and uncles. 

Calling hours will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205 with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Burial will be private in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, 2500 Valley Drive, Syracuse, NY.
